You know you’ve created a one-of-a-kind kitchen when it takes out three awards in the one night and that is exactly what happened for Art of Kitchens’ Cammeray renovation!
Celebrating their wins at last week’s HIA NSW Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, they initially won the Kitchen Design and Large Kitchen over 15 sqm categories, before going on to win the ultimate 2014 HIA NSW Kitchen of the Year prize.
“This kitchen exhibited standout craftsmanship throughout,” explain the judges. “All of the materials were balanced and used effectively, with the overall design well suited to the house in every way.”
The owners of the Cammeray home love cooking and fine dining and sought a complimentary working environment for everyday use and entertaining guests. They wanted a kitchen that functioned like a kitchen, but didn’t look like one! The design revolved around making the kitchen a statement piece, whilst working well with the adjoining rooms. The abundance of natural light contrasts beautifully with dark cabinetry, creating a fresh ambiance in the space.
