The stability of Mafi boards is largely due to the three-layer solid construction. The boards are perfectly balanced with the same timber on the top and bottom layers and a softwood in the middle. This symmetrical construction means that the timber can expand and contract as timber does without any damage to the floor itself. The upkeep of Mafi timber is also designed to continually re-oil and finish the floor. Cleaning the floor involves a bucket of warm water and Mafi oil soap. This special soap cleans and re-oils the floor with every wash.
