BedNest and Cultiver team up on kids bedheads and linen

Bednest, home of upholstered bedheads, and linen brand Cultiver, have collaborated on a classy and classic children’s range.

Wanting to offer an alternative to parents tired of the garish colours and clunky bed designs crowding the childrens’ market, Nicky Line of BedNest and Nicolle Sullivan of Cultiver joined forces to come up with something altogether more sophisticated but kid-sized.

Both Sydney brands are focussed on quality and impeccable design at an affordable price. They saw a gap in the market and jumped at the chance to fill it with their new children’s range. It includes a collection of bespoke upholstered single and king single bedheads and beds, beautifully complemented by Cultiver bed linen in new, soft colours.

It was important to them to have designer pieces that would stand the test of time. The collection is beautifully made and classically designed so when kids go in and out of their fads, the linen and bedheads will grow with them. “We are thrilled to be offering Australians the chance to create magic in their children’s lives by making it easy to purchase online beautiful bed linen and a statement piece – the bed,” says Nicky. “The best part is, everyone in Australia has access to this beautiful range and that’s why we love selling online. We want all Aussie kids from Darwin to Tasmania and from Perth to Sydney to be surrounded by magical interiors. As parents ourselves we understand that impeccable design and top quality, shouldn’t always have an exorbitant price tag and that’s why our pricing is key.”

Nicolle said her customers have been asking for linen for their children’s beds for some time. “It’s designed in Australia and manufactured from the best quality French flax meaning it’ll stand the test of time,” she adds.

The BedNest kids range includes the Bambino bedhead which has been a bestseller since launch, and the new Paddo and Nantucket Minis. All of the BedNest designs are also available in single and king single sizes. Nicky started using Cultiver linen in her product photo shoots and fell in love with it.

The children’s range is available at both BedNest and Cultiver.

Do you think kids should be able to have their favourite movie characters on their doona covers? Do you kids have racing car and princess beds or do you prefer something more timeless?

Without sounding like the fun police, I cant stand childrens doona covers that are covered in cartoon characters, etc. I still think you can make a childs room fun and playful by having simple (and nice) bed linen- its all in the colours used and adding texture and accessories. Some fun prints on the wall, and a lovely rug on the floor, plus an area for books and toys.Im lucky my children are too young to be into characters, although I did recently purchase a doona cover for my 2 yo son that has cars and ‘diggers’ on it…..as a way to encourage him to sleeping in his big boy bed. Some rules have to be broken I guess! Im now currently finding some fabric to create a bedhead for him- love linen!
Thks for the post- interesting!

I think that there is such a wide range of linen, clothing, and bedroom accessories for children that they can choose whatever suits their style. If they choose cartoon characters, great! If they choose modern or classic designs that is great also.
