Do grey days make you want to potter?

What a grey day!

Days like today make me want to stay in and potter, rearrange, tidy, maybe move some furniture around, light some scented candles and get cosy on the sofa with the interiors books which I never seem to get through because there’s always somewhere to go!

Well today there’ll be no going anywhere. Cleaning and tidying and the lovely relaxed and smug feeling I get once I’m done, for me!

How about you? Do you secretly like an excuse to stay indoors! Or am I just odd?

Maybe don’t answer…

I can totally relate Jen! I’m Irish living in Brisbane 3 years. I think for me if you’re not out doors when it’s sunny you feel like you’re wasting the weather ( like it’s going to run out or something!) and I think it comes from growing up in such a crap climate! But I too love these days when you don’t feel like you have to be outside. It’s like you have permission to have a day off from the world and just snuggle down 🙂

I LOVE grey days! They’re the best! It may be very un-Australian of me but there is nothing like a grey day to curl up inside with a good book, indulge in your home, or embark on a few interior projects! We have the best grey days in
Australia in that the intensity of the ‘grey’ is just right!

I love grey days! They allow me time to go through each room, cupboard, drawer etc to de-clutter.
Cooking is another great pass time on a grey day. However at the moment there have been
way to many ‘gray days’ and I can not wait to get out into the garden.

Absolutely agree, don'[t know if it’s the changed air pressure but there’s almost a magical quality to grey days which opens your creative mind and allows ideas to bubble up in a very calm way whilst your padding around the house. I always think grey days are the perfect mix of meditation and inspiration.

Yes yes! I always find that rainy, cooler days make me get more oganised and I find it easier to settle my mind into a task that needs doing. Love them.
