IKEA’s fabulous new desk will grow with your child

IKEA are masters at creating functional, adaptable pieces and their new PAHL series is no exception. Featuring a desk and shelving series, this range will see your family through from kindergarten to high school with its fabulous, flexible features.

“At IKEA we’re using design to make things better. Our democratic design principles ensure our products have great function, are beautifully designed and made to withstand everyday life while being sustainable. The PÅHL series is a great example of these principles brought to life,” says IKEA Australia’s range manager Tim Prevade.

The PAHL desk range can be adjusted to three different heights, allowing children of every age to use it – and adults too. Controlled by knobs on the legs of the desk you can choose from 59cm, 66cm and 72cm desk heights. The desk also comes with integrated storage for you computer cables and extension cords – unsightly cords can be organised by placing them in the cable holders between the front and back legs.

“The desk offers an innovative design solution through its adjustable heights, allowing the product to provide for each family member at different stages of their lives,” says Tim. We can see it being passed down through the years and even from one child to the next.

The shelving that complements the range is another example of great design. Available with a series of add-on shelves you can design your very own bespoke desk space with endless options. Whether it’s book or file storage or even toys, the shelving series offers fabulous flexibility.
