Online gift guide #2 Down That Little Lane

Today’s homewares gift inspiration comes via new website Down That Little Lane, which, I should mention, I LOVE! The site has the tagline ‘a place to share the delightful things’ if that gives you a better idea! Founder Tessa White, who has always had a reputation among her friends for finding the best gifts and homewares, spent six months developing the site and getting small independent suppliers on board for a one-stop-shop of loveliness. Here are my favourite picks for Christmas gifts…

1. The mini glass apothecary jars by Sweet Style are a snip at $2.50 each! Just add ribbon, tag and lollies to create lovely little gifts for teachers, friends and colleagues or great Christmas table favours.

2. I am mad for these blackboard boxes (in fact, most things involving blackboard or blackboard paint) and I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy them for myself. The possibilities are endless, from a stylish storage gift to personalised Christmas hampers with the recipient’s name chalked on the side. Use your imagination! They’re also by Sweet Style and $79.95 for a set of three.

3. This code J flag print is one of a series by Empressionista and a mere $15. I find it particularly amusing because my name begins with J! You can check out the other options on the site.

4. The fair trade summer quilt by Earthtribe ($220) is hand block printed in India in gorgeously summery colours. A lovely lightweight quilt for the hot weather, it would be a great decorative item all year round.
