Jen’s Lust List: 19.09.2017

It’s been a while between lust lists! I blame overseas travel, jetlag and sickness but now I’m back and firing on all cylinders!

First up, I have Losari, a Bohemian luxe homewares brand from Brisbane mum Kristy Ballentine-Turnball. If you’re one of those people who love everything white, neutral and a little bit boho, this is for you!

Next up, some great dinnerware for the Italian food lovers amongst us: Villeroy & Boch’s Pasta Passion collection. Pasta Passion plates include thoughtfully designed features, like the integrated twisting indent in the spaghetti plate, allowing pasta to be easily twirled around the fork, with no need for a spoon! A raised edge on the large pasta plate helps to scoop up short pasta such as penne and farfalle.  All plates also feature a practical groove for cutlery, to prevent slippage when being carried. Winner of the internationally renowned Red Dot Design Award for Product Design, the Pasta Passion collection cleverly suits traditional dining at the table or a mid-week meal on the sofa.

I’m definitely lusting after the new Curio Cane collection at Clickon Furniture. Those curves! Gorgeous!

Amazing, right?!

I’ll be back with more next week.

Jen’s Lust List 18.07.2017

We’ve definitely noticed a rise in the timber feature wall (or ceiling) and for something a little different, check out these cool wood mosaic tiles from Earp Bros. Playing with texture and hue, L’Antic Colonial have developed them from reclaimed wood, featuring a tesserae of geometric squares and 3D designs that will act as a standout in any space. Installed on a 108x297mm mesh, they contain a high design variation due to the nature of the material. Just gorgeous!

I’ve been swooning over this (rather expensive) chest of drawers for months but it came across my desk again this week. Just look at it! Navy (well, petrol blue), timber, brass: what’s NOT to like?! The Marius is available from ClickOn Furniture for $3,150 (I did warn you!). It’s also available in natural oak, grey and pink. To be honest, they’re all divine. That bottom curved drawer just knocks it out of the park for me. Better keep saving…

After all that copper and brass, could it be time for a return to good old cool silver tones soon? Zakkia think so, and here’s a sneak peek from their upcoming collection, which will be available from September. I really like it!

I’ll be back with more finds next week!

Jen’s lust list 24.01.17

Here are some things for your home I’ve spotted and loved this week!

I’ve fallen head over heels for this Cane Queen Bed from Clickon Furniture. You may have spotted it in yesterday’s piece on artist Morgan Jamieson. It’s simple, neutral, textural, retro perfection! I’ve nothing against the upholstered look (I have that kind of bed myself) but it is so nice to see something a bit fresh and different. Made of Ash and woven rattan it has a lovely organic feel as well as a solid timber frame. It’s $3,495.

If you love this look, you’ll probably be mad for the Willow Woven Buffet from Globewest (stockists here) too. I love it!

I have admired Kimmy Hogan’s unique art for some time but just can’t make up my mind which of her prints to buy! Now she’s released the new Botanical Night series, I’m in even more of a quandary! This one’s called Botanical Night III. From $250 for a signed and numbered limited edition print.

I’m usually a plain linen only kinda gal, but I love this wallet-friendly new quilt cover set, Harlow, from Target. The foil detail (more copper than gold) is a little bit luxe and the 100% cotton feels really soft. It even has metallic piping on the pillowcases. From $39 for double size.

There’s a lot of children’s art out there, much of it available personalised, but some of it can look a little cheap. These new custom posters from artist Al Walsh will be on your kids’ walls for years. I think these are just gorgeous, beautiful quality and not too ‘kiddy’.

These are just two of the designs to have personalised with name and birth date. From $110 (unframed) from Children’s Custom Posters.

You’ve probably seen me post about my west elm bone inlaid bar cabinet before (currently sold out but available from April) and now there’s a divine desk that matches. Eep. If there’s room for it when we move house, the credit card could be in trouble! At $1,199, the bone inlaid desk is a statement investment piece in solid timber.

Last but not least, even though I don’t own one, I’m really coveting the range of accessories landing in IKEA next month to allow you to pimp your KALLAX shelving unit, especially this gold basket/tray insert.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s picks. I’ll be sharing my favourite finds every week from now on.

New marble coffee table is a statement piece for your living room

The new marble-topped Renata coffee table from Clickon Furniture (who are pleasingly increasingly committed to bringing out original designs as well as their replica range) would be a real wow piece for your living room. I am a sucker for a good slab of marble and it goes without saying it’s built to last!

Renata Marble Coffee Table

This beauty is simple and solid, will last you for years and, provided the chrome look of the legs works for you, would be easy to add into most decor schemes. It’s also super sized, at over a metre square (I also love a large coffee table because, let’s face it, it’s more about displaying your favourite pretty vignettes than actual practicality, right?!).

At $1,395 it’s not cheap, but marble isn’t! And it’ll last you a lifetime. Buy online.
