Jen’s Lust List: 26.09.2017

Ah, you know how we adore everything Heatherly Design Bedheads (featured in my new master bedroom) do, but check out the new Kate Spade textiles range. Divine! the latest in their Art Series is a collab with fabric house Kravet, now representing a range of Kate Spade designs. See more.

We love linen bedding but it can come with a hefty price tag. New entrant to the market Bed Threads, are offering a great pricepoint of just $250 for a queen size bed pack of quilt cover, fitted sheet and two pillowcases. You’ll often pay more than that for the quilt cover alone!

Their sheets are 100% flax linen and they also come in double and king size. For more information.

After years spent in interior design and decorating, working on projects as diverse as five-star resorts and bungalow homes, designer and artist Emma McNamara has created a collection of luxury cushions under the banner Sunday Folk Textiles. Check them out online, for pre-order now.

We’ve long admired the work of artist Rowena Martinich and she’s recently teamed up with husband and fellow artist Geoffrey Carran to sell their limited edition prints online, making their work more accessible and affordable. We’ll have more about the partnership on the blog soon, but for now, see more here.

This classy French pumpkin would definitely be for life, not just for Halloween! The latest release from Staub, the Black Pumpkin, is a beautifully elegant cocotte, perfect for use in the oven, on any cooktop (including induction) and for serving at the table. It’s especially good for slow cooking with great, even heat distribution and retention.  An investment piece at $599.95, available nationally from Myer. This is one pot you wouldn’t want to hide away in a cupboard, right?!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s finds, I’ll be back with more next Tuesday! Jen

Jen’s Lust List 18.07.2017

We’ve definitely noticed a rise in the timber feature wall (or ceiling) and for something a little different, check out these cool wood mosaic tiles from Earp Bros. Playing with texture and hue, L’Antic Colonial have developed them from reclaimed wood, featuring a tesserae of geometric squares and 3D designs that will act as a standout in any space. Installed on a 108x297mm mesh, they contain a high design variation due to the nature of the material. Just gorgeous!

I’ve been swooning over this (rather expensive) chest of drawers for months but it came across my desk again this week. Just look at it! Navy (well, petrol blue), timber, brass: what’s NOT to like?! The Marius is available from ClickOn Furniture for $3,150 (I did warn you!). It’s also available in natural oak, grey and pink. To be honest, they’re all divine. That bottom curved drawer just knocks it out of the park for me. Better keep saving…

After all that copper and brass, could it be time for a return to good old cool silver tones soon? Zakkia think so, and here’s a sneak peek from their upcoming collection, which will be available from September. I really like it!

I’ll be back with more finds next week!

Jen’s Lust List: 11.06.17

I love this super affordable set of four succulent drawings I spotted on Instagram. All 4 x A4-size prints for $34.95 from Handmadely. I think they look great grouped together in simple black frames. Affordable art at its best!

I’ve seen these tile-effect vinyl floor mats a few places now and they are really effective. Apparently they were all the rage at Maison & Objet. Designed in Israel by Maya Kounievsky, these ones are based on original tile patterns. Add interest to a hallway, a tiled effect to a bathroom, lounge, kitchen or outdoor terrace. Crafted from durable high quality vinyl, Beija Flor can be used indoors or out. Move them from room to room with ease and simply wipe them clean. Available in three sizes an many colours and styles. From $119 from French Bazaar.

Damian and I are both big fans of the Paul Smith fashion brand, as well as the classic Anglepoise lamp (two British icons!), so no surprises we are LOVING the latest collab between the two, which sees mini and giant versions added. Available in Australia through Cult, the mini is a very reasonable (in my opinion) $301, the standard is $370 ad the giant is one to save up for at $6,993.

I’ll be back with more finds next Tuesday!

Jen’s Lust List 04.06.17 (kid’s special)

This week, I happen to have seen a lot of cute kid’s stuff, so I thought I’d do a roundup of great looking things for the little people in your home.

How gorgeous are these bamboo plates from Emondo Kids?! A platypus and a a frill-necked lizard are among the other designs. Also a great gift idea if you’re wanting to buy something Aussie as for a friend overseas without it being tacky or garish! $42 each.

And my top tip for catching all the mess that ends up under the highchair is to buy a metre of oilcloth from Me Too Please for $14.95. It makes a stylish and cheap splash mat and wipe-ups are a breeze! All sorts of lovely designs available from florals and gingham to polkadots and fruit!

There are decals and there are decals and Love Mae’s fabric wall stickers are definitely the acceptable kind! Say no more… I love these whales. $79.95.

We recently made over Seb’s room with Pottery Barn Kids (and we’ll be revealing it later this month). While I was browsing their site this week, I fell for this cool cushion, part of their latest collaboration with fashion designers Emily Current & Meritt Elliot. $59.

I’ll be back with more next week!

Although Seb will be in a big boy bed before we know it, and the days of feeding him milk are long gone, I absolutely LOVE the new Incy x Hobbe Rocking Chair. And frankly, why should parents be the only ones who get to have this gorgeous chair?! It would look equally at home in a living room as a nursery! And it comes in indigo or blush velvet with a rose gold finish. It couldn’t be more me! $1,299.

While we’re talking gold and blush, how gorgeous is this new Palm Springs Ottoman from Freedom?! I bought the navy version at the weekend ($299) and it also comes in grey.

Long time readers will know we’re big fans of Urban Road for affordable, on trend artwork. The latest collection, out next week, has some great pieces. This (Sea Stack) is one of my favourites. Find the new stuff at Urban Road from 28 February! We’ll share an exclusive first look at more of the new range on Monday.

This week I’m also loving everything from Tara Dennis’ latest Aquitaine Collection. Living in Wahroonga, I’m lucky to have the Tara Dennis Store on my doorstep and it is far too tempting, let me tell you! If you haven’t been yet, you need to pay a visit!

Available at the Tara Dennis Store, David Jones and leading independent retailers from later this month.

I’ll be back with more discoveries next Tuesday!

Jen’s lust list 31.01.17

I’m generally more of a plain linen girl but I could be persuaded to change for this Bluebellgray quilt set. The Scottish brand, which I’ve long been a fan of, is now available in Australia at Myer. Floral and colour fans, gets amongst it!

On the other end of the spectrum, the popular SMEG small appliances range (entry level SMEG as I like to call it!) are now available in white due to popular demand! I’m guessing that’s because people like me couldn’t decide which of the gorgeous pastel hues to commit to. Fret no more! From $179 for the 2-slice toaster, from all good department stores.

I discovered artist Annie Everingham on Instagram this week (don’t you love Insta for that?!) via those stylish folks at Fenton & Fenton (who stock her work). I fell for this limited edition print, An Abstraction of Patchwork Terrain ($699). Isn’t it gorgeous? Annie lives in Newcastle, NSW.

Pottery Barn Kids have some lovely new things in for kid’s rooms! How cute is this Ceramic Bunny Mirror ($129) which will give your little one a bunny nose whenever they stand in front of it?! Plus there are hooks to keep precious jewels and hairbands off the floor.

And I know Sebastian would love this Organic Mason Dino Friends Sheet Set, from $99 (not that he has a big boy bed for them yet). I’m a big fan of anything which is so cute that kids will like it, but not still erring on the muted side so mum will too. What do you mean their rooms should be all about them?!

I must be in a really colourful mood this week, eh?! How gorgeous is this trinket box ($55) from Marks & Spencer? Did you know they ship free to Australia for orders over $100? Yes, homewares as well as fashion! I have a thing for fancy boxes like this. How better to keep/hide all those little bits and pieces together? Plus, gold.

This new brass-look side table from Kmart is a snip at $29! They have a whole load of new furniture and homewares dropping at the end of this week which are bound to sell out fast.

Last but not least, I can always find something to add to my basket on Etsy! This magnolia wall hanging is great for so many reasons. It’s lightweight (great for renters who can’t knock holes in walls), you don’t need to pay for framing or worry about heavy frames falling off the wall (wouldn’t it be lovely in a little girl’s nursery?), it’s gorgeous, botanical and timeless. And who doesn’t love magnolias? $75 from My Bearded Pigeon via Etsy. There are other designs too, including cacti, which are definitely having a moment!

I’ll be back with more favourite finds next Tuesday!

Jen’s lust list 24.01.17

Here are some things for your home I’ve spotted and loved this week!

I’ve fallen head over heels for this Cane Queen Bed from Clickon Furniture. You may have spotted it in yesterday’s piece on artist Morgan Jamieson. It’s simple, neutral, textural, retro perfection! I’ve nothing against the upholstered look (I have that kind of bed myself) but it is so nice to see something a bit fresh and different. Made of Ash and woven rattan it has a lovely organic feel as well as a solid timber frame. It’s $3,495.

If you love this look, you’ll probably be mad for the Willow Woven Buffet from Globewest (stockists here) too. I love it!

I have admired Kimmy Hogan’s unique art for some time but just can’t make up my mind which of her prints to buy! Now she’s released the new Botanical Night series, I’m in even more of a quandary! This one’s called Botanical Night III. From $250 for a signed and numbered limited edition print.

I’m usually a plain linen only kinda gal, but I love this wallet-friendly new quilt cover set, Harlow, from Target. The foil detail (more copper than gold) is a little bit luxe and the 100% cotton feels really soft. It even has metallic piping on the pillowcases. From $39 for double size.

There’s a lot of children’s art out there, much of it available personalised, but some of it can look a little cheap. These new custom posters from artist Al Walsh will be on your kids’ walls for years. I think these are just gorgeous, beautiful quality and not too ‘kiddy’.

These are just two of the designs to have personalised with name and birth date. From $110 (unframed) from Children’s Custom Posters.

You’ve probably seen me post about my west elm bone inlaid bar cabinet before (currently sold out but available from April) and now there’s a divine desk that matches. Eep. If there’s room for it when we move house, the credit card could be in trouble! At $1,199, the bone inlaid desk is a statement investment piece in solid timber.

Last but not least, even though I don’t own one, I’m really coveting the range of accessories landing in IKEA next month to allow you to pimp your KALLAX shelving unit, especially this gold basket/tray insert.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s picks. I’ll be sharing my favourite finds every week from now on.
