I heart (tasteful) Brit-inspired homewares

As a Pom I couldn’t go past new online store SE10 Gallery, could I? Founder Sam Cannell, who has collated a lovely range of homewares and gifts, says many Aussies have an affinity with the UK (at least when the cricket isn’t on). The product range is inspired by a passion for British design, a fascination with typography and an obsession with designer stationery. Um, excuse me, was it made for me?!

SE10 Gallery sources products from British and Australian designers and is already proving popular following its launch on Facebook less than a month ago. Sam says it’s often difficult to find stylish pieces that reflect modern British style. (There’s certainly more than enough Union Jack tat out there!) The new site aims to bring an interesting mix of products including prints, cushions, placemats, teatowels and typographic bags.

Products and brands available through SE10 Gallery include Keep Calm Gallery (a favourite of mine), Alphabet Bags, Raine and Humble, Creatively Active Minds, Messagemark and Elm Paper.

Having lived in London for over five years, Sam spent countless hours searching for stylish pieces that combined British influence with the Australian lifestyle. The product range quickly grew to incorporate her obsession with typography and beautiful stationery and will continue to evolve as the store grows.
