The Carrie Bradshaw of light switches

Sydney interior stylist Sibella Court has teamed up with HPM Legrand on a range of designer light switches and power sockets to finish your look with a touch of glamour.

“The quality of a range like Arteor means that you don’t have to hide your light switches anymore – they can be proudly displayed like other designer pieces. They’re like the Carrie Bradshaw of light switches,” she says. “Such exquisite materials will automatically inject a sense of glamour and whimsy. You don’t have to spend a million dollars.

“Each switch is a beautiful piece that has been meticulously designed. The beveled edges, for example, create a tricky visual effect where the switch appears to float in space – all of these things are very important to achieving something special and out of the ordinary.”

Meet stylist’s assistant Ashley!

Ashley Pratt is a super keen wannabe stylist with plenty of work experience under her belt, ready to get stuck into full-time work. But we all know getting a stylist’s assistant gig isn’t easy, so I thought I’d give her a helping hand.

She has a degree in media and law (but you probably don’t care about that) and (more importantly) she’s worked for House & Garden mag and POCO Designs, as well as in event styling for Marilyn Grace and Pret-a-Party. The 24 year old, who is looking for paid full-time work, loves everything interior design related and her own personal style is contemporary with bold colours and interesting patterns.

“I’m an extremely organised perfectionist which can be both a blessing and a curse,” she says. “I’m a big believer in small finishing touches and tiny details that make all the difference.”

As well as assisting with styling, Ashley is happy to carry out PA duties. If you can offer Ashley work, please contact Jen for more details.

Stylist Jane Frosh has a new website

The lovely Jane Frosh, who I interviewed here, has launched a new website. No doubt it will soon be populated with all sorts of gorgeous things! Jane’s Blue Mountains home was featured in the February issue of Country Style magazine. I pretty much love everything Jane does, envy her gorgeous caravan Carrie, which is often used for photoshoots, and sometimes wish I lived her domestic bliss country life! Check out the website here.
