Good Friday charity auction: This new home could be yours!

With no reserve set, one lucky family will call this new-build home when it goes under the hammer as part of this year’s Good Friday Appeal for Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. Located in Geelong (Mt Duneed to be precise), the house sits on 599 square metres of land generously donated by Villawood Properties and built by Henley.

Constructed over five months, with more than 400 trades and suppliers donating their time and products, every dollar raised at auction will go to the Good Friday Appeal.

The lounge

“We are thrilled to deliver the Henley and Villawood Properties Charity Home Auction ahead of the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children’s Hospital, and we encourage any new or would-be home buyers to visit the house at an upcoming open for inspection,” says Henley’s managing director Peter Hayes.

Kitchen

“We are humbled by the continued generosity of our suppliers and tradespeople, who, year after year, donate their time to help create a stunning home to be auctioned off. In donating 100 per cent of the proceeds, it means a family has the opportunity to buy a quality house in a beautiful community for a good cause – and for most of us, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to donate such a significant amount of money to charity!” says Peter of the home that is located just 10 minutes from the Geelong CBD and 15 minutes from Victoria’s famed surf beaches.

Master bedroom

The home boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a powder room, north-facing alfresco area, home theatre, study, butler’s pantry and a whopping five living areas! Other details include 40mm Caesarstone bench tops, high ceilings and SMEG stainless steel extra-large appliances. There is also timber-look flooring throughout, premium carpets and polished porcelain tiles plus ducted heating and air-conditioning and a security system.

Ensuite

The bathroom and ensuite both feature double vanities and extra-large showers with semi-frameless glass screens. And with window coverings to the bedrooms and bathrooms, flyscreens, a lock-up garage, clothes line, fencing and professionally landscaped front and rear gardens, the lucky new owner won’t have to do a thing!
