Rachel Castle’s new Festival range goes back to her roots

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since Rachel Castle and her inimitable designs burst onto the interiors scene. Always colourful and lots of fun, the latest collection is a homage to the signature designs that made her famous.

“With our 10-year anniversary fast approaching, our latest little collection winks back to our origins – colour and pom poms and a lot of festivity!” says Rachel.

There are woven knit striped cushions with pom poms –  “The best combo ever!” says Rachel, who has also designed a more grown-up jacquard weave triangle pattern too. We love its retro sensibility and 70’s colour way.

Poms poms aren’t only for adults this season though with babies and kids catered for too. “The littlies are seriously fun to design for and we have the multi-spot pom pom single cotton blanket (110 x 150cm) for them. It’s ideal for cots and single beds.”

The new large adult cotton knit jumbo blankets are pretty fabulous also. “They are great on the bed or sofa and go back with everything in our current range,” says Rachel of the super-sized blankets (130 x 180cm) that accommodate a king sized bed too.

Very similar to Rachel’s iconic penny round cushions, the new jumbo velvet floor cushions are also lots of fun. “They’re like the penny rounds but only massive. Just fill them with bean bag beans and off you go. We use them as office chairs in our meetings!”
