Stylist Alana Langan launches online homewares store Hunt & Bow

Interior stylist Alana Langan has an eye for what looks good so it’s no surprise her new online store, launching today, is full of great treasures for your home.

Alana said she wanted to create a platform to support independent local design in Australia and to meet the growing demand for on-trend vintage wares without the time-consuming ‘hunting’ that usually goes with it.

Australian designed products include hand painted pots by Melbourne workshop collective Pop & Scott (how great are the gold ones? I love them!) and cushions by brand-new label Attic and Trunk, for which Hunt & Bow is the first online stockist.

Vintage items include one-of-a-kind Moroccan Boucherouite rag rugs, handwoven Thai Hmong cushions and an eclectic mix of lighthearted décor objects including brass statues, ceramics and kitchenware.

Alana also sources vintage furniture for the store and rolls up her sleeves to refurbish those in need of a little TLC. Check back often to see her latest transformations for sale.

The website features styled shots to help customers get a real feel for the products on offer and how they might use them in their homes. It also houses Alana’s styling portfolio, to give further inspiration.

I’m calling out to those who adore the latest design trends but love to put their own spin on things,” she says. “Hunt & Bow is all about mixing high and low, old and new, and getting happy using bold colour and pattern.”

A former public relations executive, Alana worked in the entertainment industry in London for 6 years where, after completing an interior styling course at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s, she decided to follow her true passion for creating beautiful interiors.

In 2012, after returning to Melbourne and having her first child, Alana made the switch from day job to dream job and founded Hunt & Bow, an interior styling business. Earlier this year, she joined the Greenhouse Interiors collective and now regularly works with some of Australia’s top stylists and photographers for magazines including Inside Out, Real Living and Home Beautiful.

Love those little giraffes! Pity i wasn’t quick enough. Looks like they’ve already sold!

I love hear stories about people quitting their day jobs to start their dream job. It’s so inspiring. The white and gold pots are divine and I love the Thai Hmong cushions.
