Interiors Addict

Today marks new beginnings as a full-time interiors addict!

Yesterday I left my day job and ventured out into the world of blogging and self-employment! It’s a little bit scary but very exciting!

It’s going to be amazing to have so much more head space (and TIME) to devote to Interiors Addict. It really will be a luxury. As ever, I want to know what you like, what you want, who you are! Feel free to comment below, introduce yourself, tell me who you are, what you do, what you like (and don’t) about the blog. I’d love to ‘meet’ you!

And can I ask a favour? If you have friends who you think might like Interiors Addict too, spread the word via your social networks? We’re on Facebook, Twitter,Β PinterestΒ and Instagram (jenbishop_interiorsaddict)!

And one more thing: wish me luck? πŸ™‚Β Jen x

PS. I thought a good way to mark this new chapter would be to do Bridge Climb, so right now I’m due to be about halfway across Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Great news ! What an exciting step forward. I’m sure we will all look forward to hearing more from you..

I, for one, have been following your journey since the early days and you’ve come a long way! Interiors Addict has made leaps and bounds from the little diamond that it was and you’ve worked incredibly hard! You’ve been so committed and passionate about this blog and you deserve all the recognition and adoration it’s received. I’m so happy for you, now getting to do what you love and were clearly meant to do. Congratulations, Jen! And here’s to many years of growth for Interiors Addict and all the enjoyment and rewards it will no doubt bring your way. Happy blogging!

Congratulations on taking the leap – what an awesome achievement. Good luck and look forward to watching how things develop further.
And I love the symbolism of completing a bridge climb to celebrate – enjoy!

Good for you Jen – it was 25 years I took the giant leap from my job in the media to start Bandhini – gotta follow your passion and be on the planet to make your time matter! Enjoy – and let us know if we can ever help you!
Love Tai

Thank you Tai! Look forward to working with Bandhini in the future πŸ™‚

Hi my name is Priyanka and I’m an Interiors Addict. It’s been 3 minutes since I’ve read looked at an Interior Design mag. I’m so glad there is an online repository to feel my addiction.

Just kidding around – congrats Jen! I’m glad you finally made the leap – it’s obvious this is your passion and I know that only good things will follow now that you’ve become a fulltime Addict!! Perhaps we’ll get together for ‘Interiors Anonymous’.

xx Priyanka and the team @evolvex

Jen, congratulations! What an amazing thing you have done, I am giddy with excitement for you. And I must get to work on wording on an ad to place with you! Help pay your way! x

What a fantastic achievement Jen! You should be so proud and embrace your new chapter. I started a homewares business from our farm in SA nearly 3 years ago, I am amazed at the journey I have been on already and how my business has evolved. I particularly love any interviews and profiles you do. It helps us see the personal side to the designers and brands. Letitia x

Thanks so much Letitia! Will have much more time for interviews now which is great! Look out for one tomorrow in fact πŸ˜‰

Congratulations Jen, oh I envy you! Love the insight you give into the fabulous world of Interior Design, thanks x

We’re such high fans of your blog here at BedNest and wish you every success as it becomes your full time “thing”. Hi Jen,
Good luck with your ‘new’ adventure on the road of life!!
Now that you have some extra time I would like you to visit my friends new store……Archangel, 10 Oxford St, Paddington…..it’s a feast for your eyes!! I would love to meet you there & finally introduce myself to you! (Missed you at Design & Decoration in Melbourne )
Thanx for all the great info…..you are a great source!!

Congrats Jen and best wishes for this new chapter in your life! You have clearly worked hard to get to where you are now and deserve success.

I have been following your blog for a while now and it has become an ingrained part of my day that I so look forward to πŸ™‚ I love reading interviews, seeing real homes and finding out about new shops / products. I am studying Interior Decorating & Colour Design and hope that one day, I can also leave my day job to do what I love.

Keep up the good work!!!

Congratulations Jen and good luck on your new exciting business venture! You will look back and think “why didn’t I do this sooner”!! That’s exactly what I had said to myself once I started up my own interior design and window treatment specialist businesses (Adele Britt Design & Window Studio). You’ll do amazingly well! Keep up the great work on your blog too! Cheers from sunny Perth.

Thanks Adele! Always good to hear from readers outside of Sydney πŸ™‚

All the best on your new adventure Jen, I’m sure you’ll do great. Just remember to think ahead a couple of steps (especially in terms of monetization and strategy) and not just write write write all the time. Having just returned from #pbevent, I see that you Ozzie bloggers are so lucky with other supportive bloggers and opportunities. And have fun while you’re at it too! πŸ™‚

Thanks David! Plenty of forward planning going on behind the scenes, don’t you worry πŸ˜‰
