Enamel kitchenware is back: Our picks of the retro trend

With its retro good looks, it’s easy to see why enamel kitchenware has made it back onto our tabletops. Typically made from powdered glass bonded onto steel, enamel is lightweight, easy to clean, hardwearing and usually dishwasher and oven safe too. And while vintage pieces can be found in secondhand stores, the latest line-up of new enamel kitchenware is proving hard to resist.

Kip & Co: Durable, versatile and available in a gorgeous array of colours, this range is great for outdoor entertaining and you could even take it camping if you’re that way inclined! Starting from $21.

Homewares with (a tasteful) Australiana twist

Everingham & Watson is inspired by the Australian lifestyle. School friends Susie Everingham and Liz Watson introduced their brand to Brisbane with a pop-up shop in December 2011. They had so much fun and such a good response, they decided to start an online store.

They’ve established their own line of E&W original items, including pineapple and Australian map blackboards, hand printed tea towels, stationery and jewellery. Everything has a deliberate Australiana theme. There’s also a selection of enamelware and colourful ceramics.
