Drinking jars get the copper treatment from Rainy Sunday

We are long time fans of Rainy Sunday but they’ve taken it to a whole new level with these gorgeous copper creations, don’t you agree?

IMG_5481

Originally know for their colourful drinking jars, Rainy Sunday have now extended their range to include copper flower jars, Scandinavian style flower boxes and beautiful new copper mason jar carriers (due to arrive in early October).

They’ve also teamed up with Sydney-based artist Daimon Downey (of Sneaky Sound System) and used his artwork to add a colourful dimension to the new range. His crazy cactus print has been lovingly screen printed by hand on to plywood and then crafted into table tiles, coasters, mason jar holders and flower boxes. You can even get your hands on their copper and cactus tissue paper.

Perfect for all you green juice devotees or the less healthy amongst us who just want a gorgeous way to display flowers at home with a little copper shine! I’m adding them to my wish list right now!

Spotted: Colourful cacti

By Helen Barker

Bursting with colour and life, these cute, colourful cacti were spotted in a stunning flower and homewares boutique in Byron Bay, Passion@Flowers.

HB_Colourful Cacti

The rugged mix of pink and prickles make these pot plants a perfect and easy way to brighten any room. Style them in rustic terracotta pots, or add even more colour with a contrasting ceramic pot. I love the idea of mixing red and green creations as decorations for your Christmas setting.

Unique ceramics by Iggy and LouLou

I’ve become a little obsessed with ceramics lately. And I don’t think you can ever have too many decorative bowls! But if you’re looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, look no further than Melbourne label Iggy and LouLou.

Iggy LouLou gold rip bowl

The Gold Rip Collection is handcrafted, every piece unique, and finished in 24 carat gold. Starting from just $110 for a small vase. It’s full of texture and I think it’s just stunning.

Iggy and Lou Lou was established in 2003 by Melbourne artist and designer Irene Grishin Selzer and her partner Peter. Together they built a label credited as a pioneer in the revival of porcelain jewellery, whose fans include celebrities like Emily Blunt and Nicole Richie. They’ve also collaborated with the likes of fashion designer Karen Walker.

Meet Say It With Succulents’ Hannah Burgess

The very stylish Hannah Burgess is a former criminologist with a house full of plants who started her own business selling succulents as mail order gifts. Her foray into the trendy houseplants started simply when she bought her first succulent for her new home. “One succulent, soon turned to 10 and suddenly, I found myself obsessed by them,” she says.

This sparked an idea for a business and she spent 18 months developing Say It With Succulents, going back to uni to study project management. Eventually she left her job to focus full-time on launching the brand in February.
