Win a cook’s dream prize for yourself or to gift at Christmas!

If you’re hosting Christmas this year and doing the cooking, your life could be a lot easier if you win one of these great kitchen prizes!

First prize is a complete set of new French brand Ô cuisine’s borosilicate glass cookware (valued at more than $200) plus a Miyabi 5000FCD Gyutoh 16cm chef’s knife worth $379. The glass cookware set includes a rectangular roaster, oval casserole, flan dish, two mixing bowls, an expert bowl and a measuring jug.

We also have two runner up prizes of the complete set of Ô cuisine borosilicate glass cookware as detailed above.

The beauty of the glassware is that it is thermal shockproof – you can take it from freezer to oven and it won’t crack or shatter (withstanding temperatures of minus 40 to 300 degrees celsius). It references the current trend for vintage style cookware but this new generation borosilicate product is far more durable.

The amazing Miyabi knife is crafted using the traditional skills of samurai sword making! The beautiful floral damask patterning on the steel blades requires the folding of 48 layers of steel and has a rockwell hardness of 61. Incredible!

For your chance to win, complete the form below by 5pm AEST next Friday 8 December 2017. Open to Australian residents only.

Jen’s Lust List: 26.09.2017

Ah, you know how we adore everything Heatherly Design Bedheads (featured in my new master bedroom) do, but check out the new Kate Spade textiles range. Divine! the latest in their Art Series is a collab with fabric house Kravet, now representing a range of Kate Spade designs. See more.

We love linen bedding but it can come with a hefty price tag. New entrant to the market Bed Threads, are offering a great pricepoint of just $250 for a queen size bed pack of quilt cover, fitted sheet and two pillowcases. You’ll often pay more than that for the quilt cover alone!

Their sheets are 100% flax linen and they also come in double and king size. For more information.

After years spent in interior design and decorating, working on projects as diverse as five-star resorts and bungalow homes, designer and artist Emma McNamara has created a collection of luxury cushions under the banner Sunday Folk Textiles. Check them out online, for pre-order now.

We’ve long admired the work of artist Rowena Martinich and she’s recently teamed up with husband and fellow artist Geoffrey Carran to sell their limited edition prints online, making their work more accessible and affordable. We’ll have more about the partnership on the blog soon, but for now, see more here.

This classy French pumpkin would definitely be for life, not just for Halloween! The latest release from Staub, the Black Pumpkin, is a beautifully elegant cocotte, perfect for use in the oven, on any cooktop (including induction) and for serving at the table. It’s especially good for slow cooking with great, even heat distribution and retention.  An investment piece at $599.95, available nationally from Myer. This is one pot you wouldn’t want to hide away in a cupboard, right?!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s finds, I’ll be back with more next Tuesday! Jen

In contrast, the vibrant Palm colour is featured across Le Creuset’s wide range of cast iron, stoneware, kettles, stockpots and silicone tools. Inspired by the lush, luxurious fringe of green that divides land and sea, the hue combines crisp botanical tones with Le Creuset’s trademark, hand-applied gradient.

Curtis Stone launches cookware for Target Australia

I must admit I’m a bit of sucker for any of Target’s celebrity or designer collaborations, so I was very excited to hear that celebrity chef Curtis Stone has released a new, affordable kitchen range exclusively for Target Australia.

Available both in store and online, the new 80-piece range of cookware and tableware was created specifically for home cooks. What’s even better is the prices won’t break the budget, ranging from $4 for food preparation bowls to $100 for a premium cutting work bench, and $7 for side plates to $60 for an oil pourer.

With so much on offer it’s hard to pick a favourite, but Curtis’ must-have pieces are the Magnetic Attraction Stand (below), which frees up drawer space and keeps utensils in an easy to reach spot while cooking, the Pick-Up Scoop, which acts as an extra pair of hands in the kitchen, scooping up finely diced ingredients, and the Chop Chop food chopper, which saves you time.

Along with a lifetime warranty against scratching or abrading, Woll listened to customer feedback on its previous range and added a fixed handle option. The Woll Saphir Lite has the same hardwearing, high performance qualities of the original Diamond Plus (with detachable handle) but with a fixed handle that will withstand oven temperatures up to 260 ̊C. Unlike its predecessor though, this pan is available to buy online.
