New Linen House range will help you hibernate this autumn!

With autumn around the corner, Linen House’s new Winter Sun collection is all about hibernation staples and getting cosy in style.

“This season’s collection embodies a winter utopia with gorgeous earthy tones, made to use not only for the colder months but all year round. A celebration of the desire to hibernate in staples that not only keep you warm but look and feel good is key!” said Emily Treganowan, head of design.

“Colours that are bold yet soft, materials that are warm but textured, and designs that stand out really do create both a homey but fashionable mood for your home this autumn and winter season.”

Retaining the brand’s iconic designs and fabrics from previous seasons, the collection boasts stunning palettes across numerous fabrics: lustrous and fluffy, knitted and ribbed, or quilted in velvet. Choose from cotton corduroy and cotton chenilles, as well as their best-selling pure linen.

Meanwhile, yarn-dyed cotton, textured cotton slubs, and cotton sateens are still omnipresent, all adorned by stripes and classic or abstract patterns with florals and geometric patterns.

Chalk paint queen Annie Sloan introduces new wall specific paints

Annie Sloan has launched a new collection of wall-specific paints. There are 32 colours of the water-based matt emulsion paints including 15 existing Chalk Paint favourites and 17 new hues to complement the palette.

Living room in Bright Green

Each shade is inspired by colours found in iconic architecture and homes throughout history, from the neoclassical Charlottenh of Villa to the terracotta houses of Morocco. The wall paints are launching in Australia and available in 120ml and 2.5 litre tins.

Dining in Old White

While the existing Chalk Paint can already be used on walls, especially those needing a breathable paint, its very thick and viscous consistency make it a furniture paint first and foremost. It’s ideal for wood, metal, glass and laminate. On walls in high traffic areas, it would also require a coat of wax or lacquer to protect it. This extra step led Annie to create her new one-step solution wall paint collection after years of experimentation.

“It’s quick-drying, wipeable, durable, live in-able, and made with the highest quality ingredients. I am thrilled with the depth and clarity of colour. You can really trust these paints to give beautiful results and survive the wear and tear of a busy, happy, lived-in home,” says Annie.

Collette Dinnigan debuts travel-inspired bedding collection

Collette Dinnigan, Australian fashion (and more recently interior) designer, has teamed up with Linen House to produce her first linen collection. Inspired by her extensive recent travels throughout Europe, the designs reflect her passion for antique textiles and French fabrics. It features azure blue accents across finely embroidered white quilt covers, matching sheet sets and plush bath towels.

Amalfi Blue

Using only quality cotton, Collette has created a design that is both feminine and crisp, with a hint of bohemian style. The 300-thread count cotton percale is made from long staple fine yarns, giving the fabric a cool, crisp handle.

Sorento Blue

Riviera features embroidered corners with a pretty blue floral vine entwining white hemstitch detail. Amalfi flourishes with old-world European folk style embroidery, with matching European pillowcases imparting a Mediterranean ambience. Last but not least, Sorrento is simplicity at its best. Available in two colours, white on white or white with blue hemstitched tailored edges.

Collette Dinnigan for Linen House Autumn Winter 2017 Collection will be available at the end of this month (January), online or at leading retailers.

Bed Bath N’ Table’s latest range has a far-flung, exotic vibe

Titled ‘Warm Radiance,’ the latest collection from Bed Bath N’ Table channels an ethnic, gypsy vibe through a kaleidoscope of autumnal shades.

unspecified-11

Pattern and texture combine with a rich palette of earthy red, golden yellow and blue tones that are grounded with cool greys. The patterned tabletop range has a lush, out-of-Marrakech vibe that we see mixed back with basic whites for a global traveller vibe.

The patterns reference ancient textile prints, and there’s plenty of Oriental-inspired design and traditional paisley too. Importantly, it’s reimagined in a fresh, modern way.

We love the all-white textured tea pots, cups and vases – the subtle geometric designs channel chic mid-century ceramics.

As for fabric specifics, velvet and metallic textiles add a luxurious feel to the range which is in stores and online now.

Go crazy for copper at Freedom this season!

Yesterday, gold pieces were among the favourites I shared from Freedom’s latest homewares range. today, I’m all about copper. I’m still welcoming pops of this warm metallic into my home and I think we’ll be seeing them trending for a long time yet. You may not have thought about adding copper to your bathroom, an often neglected room in the styling and accessorising stakes. so why not give these a go? I think the shower caddy ($34.95) is my favourite.

If you find copper a little too glitzy and worry it’ll look tacky, let me recommend the awesome combo that is matte black and copper, as seen in the Otis bowl ($44.95) below.

Lighting’s another place to add a touch of copper. At $49.95, the Helix suspension pendant is pretty low commitment.

There are heaps more copper options at Freedom this season. Happy online shopping!
