Country Road can do no wrong when it comes to homewares lately and the latest summer collection is no exception.
I’m happy to see that, following on from the last range, there’s still plenty of yellow. And how gorgeous and versatile is this grey and white quilt? There’s a soft grey and pastel yellow knitted throw that’s rather lovely too.
I’ve seen kantha popping up a few places lately. Could it be the new patchwork or ikat for beds? Laura Hanks-Ruttyn thinks so.
Her throws are beautiful, SERIOUSLY chunky and texture-full works of art. “I love a bit of sensory feedback,” says extreme knitter Jacqui Fink of Little Dandelion. “Always have.” Made from the finest, locally sourced wool and linen, these mega throws and blankets weigh up to 15 kilos and are really something else. But it is the philosophy and story behind Jacqui’s work that I’m even more taken with, and it’s something we could all learn from.
