Kip & Co

2014 saw the girls at Kip & Co branch into kids and cot linen and the line has been a huge success. The brand’s anything goes approach sees designs include fairies, monsters, checks and more and we love their motto: “We’re not trying to be the sophisticated kids bedding company, or even the cute or the pretty, we just want to make a spunky, fun kids bedding range.”

Kip & Co

Sack Me!

Sack Me! has three goals: to be fun, stylish and gender-neutral. Hitting the nail on the head for all three, their range is all about food, bringing about that friendly familiarity to kids and kids-at-heart.

Sack Me

Castle & Things

Rachel Castle is the queen of fun yet stylish bed linen and we love the way that she mixes and matches her fabulous prints that are designed by hand in her Sydney studio. This beautiful, retro inspired bedding brand isn’t just for adults with single sizes available too. From leopard print to gingham floral patterns and more, the range is created in 100 per cent French flax linen and the brand also produces a lovely line-up of cushions to complete the look.

Little Willow Vintage

For a personal touch, you can’t go past the Little Willow Vintage range of personalised embroidered cushions. Each pure linen pillow is hand stitched and features a contrasting oatmeal linen backing and is filled with an eco insert made from recycled plastics. They make a lovely gift.

Kip & Co.’s latest bedding: Hollywood glamour for high winter

Inspired by old world glamour and shot in Melbourne’s iconic Beverley Hills apartment building, Kip & Co.’s High Winter 2021 collection is designed to transport you to another era with its luxe, decadent fabrics, colours and textures.

Kip & Co.

The range features three key prints – a signature animal print ‘Madagascar Earth’ which was designed to evoke Hollywood glamour, a bold oversized black and white gingham and ‘Bush Flowers’ which is a delicate floral inspired by the Australian wilderness.

Kip & Co.
We love this oversized gingham design

“It’s something of a miracle that we’re able to share this range with you – the collection was designed in 2019 and was originally due to launch in 2020 but due to lockdowns faced by our beautiful suppliers, and then some wild decisions by the freight gods, it’s only just landed now,” says Kip and Co.’s co-founder Alex McCabe.

Kip & Co.
The ‘Madagascar Earth’ design is a warm zebra print

For the first time ever, the brand has introduced two Kantha quilts – a small, straight running stitch is a hallmark of the design that originates in Bengali embroidery. “These are a modern take on the traditional South Asian Kantha blanket. Our edition is hand-embroidered, quilted and filled to create the perfect trans-seasonal blanket keepsake,” says Alex.

Range aside, the collection images are an excuse to step inside the stunning and very ‘grammable home of interior stylist Heather Nette King. Located in South Yarra, Heather’s home is inside the Beverley Hills apartment building, which was designed and built in 1935 by the architect and developer Howard Lawson. The Spanish Mission meets Hollywood glamour vibe proved perfect for the latest Kip & Co collection.

Kip & Co.’s new autumn collection is big on texture

While there’s plenty for maximalists in the new Kip & Co. range ‘Magic Happens,’ the collection is brimming with options for those who favour a more subdued aesthetic. The brand’s autumn collection has a focus on incorporating chunky texture into the home and not just the bold pattern we’ve come to expect from the brand.

Kip & Co
Kip & Co.’s signature velvet and linen bedding is back in several fabulous new colour ways

“With tactile fabrics like cotton velvet, French linen, soft cotton, chunky blanket knits, and waffle, the range is a reminder of the importance of touch, and the beauty in slowing things down,” says Kip & Co co-founder Alex McCabe.

This large scale graphic check would look great on a child or adult’s bed

The new collection features pretty new velvet and linen shades (hello nude!) as well as some seriously gorgeous chunky knit throws that look both stylish and snuggly. Other standout pieces (that would look equally at home on the couch or the bed) include the gorgeous harlequin print ‘Iced Vovo’ throw as well as new shades of the brand’s signature tassel throws.

Kip & Co chunky knit throw
The ‘Honey Rhubarb’ chunky knit throw is a standout piece in the range
Kip & Co
The new ‘Iced Vovo’ throw, velvet Monstera cushion in shrimp and classic linen in ‘Laurel Green’ are rather delicious too.

“You can include colour and texture – it doesn’t have to be all about the print. Sometimes it’s about adding a textural element without going the full maximalist hog,” says Kip & Co. marketing coordinator Amy Clarke who suggests starting with a plain linen or velvet and building the look from there.

Kip & Co

“The collection is an ode to those moments of magic amidst the mayhem – the wonder of a rainbow, the twinkle of the stars, the laughter of your best friend. We shot in an incredibly romantic old hotel, and if the walls could talk, they would’ve whispered stories of a simpler time,” says Alex.

Kip & Co
The beautiful kids’ ‘Speckle Candy’ print could almost pass as a neutral and would layer up nicely too.
Kip & Co
The new cushion line-up includes striped velvets and a new bolster shape. We love the new large pink check bed linen too.

The latest tableware range features cutlery, table cloths, aprons and napkins in a fabulous array of new prints designed to make staying home a bit more joyful. “In the kitchen, we’re embracing the golden era of dining in. Our beautiful tableware and cutlery collection celebrates the joy of a home cooked meal, with a feeling of festivity and fun,” says Alex.

Kip & Co
The ‘Pollen’ linen table cloth and napkin are styled with jewel napkin rings from the range.

Favourite collection prints have been turned into apparel – there’s leggings, tees, sweaters and a series of absolutely stunning cardigans. “We are so excited to intro our new hero – the big knitted cardigan is a must-have wardrobe essential,” says Alex.

What a stunning cardigan!

Maximalists never fear though, you are very much catered for. From whimsical florals and foliage, to a fabulous Greek God inspired print, there’s plenty to feast your eyes on.

One for print lovers, the ‘Greek God’ bedding is pretty divine

Eadie Lifestyle latest a calm antidote in uncertain times

Launched in 2016, Eadie Lifestyle has become a mainstay of the Australian soft furnishing scene. Designed by a small in-house creative team, headed up by founder Trudie Cox, the company has never been too focussed on trends and instead delivers quality, timeless and enduring pieces that people can enjoy for years. The brand’s new collection, Grace, is testament to this.

Eadie Lifestyle
The Grace collection

Calm, comfortable, soothing and elegant, the range is a lovely antidote to the uncertainty of modern times.  “Grace is a collection born from a desire to stay authentic to our roots – timeless classic design, creating our own trends and not following others, and celebrating the subtleties of quality and detail,” says Trudie Cox.

With the business turning six this year, it gave Trudie the perfect opportunity to take stock and reevaluate where it was headed. “The last several months have brought much change around the globe. For many of us, myself included, it’s been a time of reflection, prioritising the important things and learning to savour a simplified lifestyle,” says Trudie. It’s a sentiment that runs through the tranquil collection.

Eadie Lifestyle

The range boasts more than a passing nod to the ocean – ‘Sea Foam,’ ‘Low Tide’ and ‘Rockpool’ are just a couple of the series within. And while they are a great complement to coastal homes, the ranges would suit most interior schemes. The crowd-pleasing colour palette includes crisp white, neutrals, earthy pinks, soft greys and peaceful blues.

As for standout pieces, Trudie is most taken with the ‘Sea Foam’ series. Made from linen and cotton, the ‘Sea Foam’ fabric is fully reversible and has a fluted and flowing texture that has a fabulous drape.

“My other favourite is the extended Bedouin Linen Series which is made on traditional hand looms and has an interesting, luxurious texture,” says Trudie. This series has just been produced in ivory and there’s new cushion sizes (including an oversized lumbar), throws and linen bed covers within it too.

To celebrate the arrival of the collection, Trudie partnered with UK-based photographer Astrid Harrison who has a particular interest in horses and has captured some of the world’s rarest breeds; a couple of which feature in the campaign imagery and are available to buy.

Astrid Harrison’s equine photography features in the collection

“I am excited to say that Astrid has released these prints in limited edition to our Eadie community, for purchase. Each print will be numbered and embossed with Astrid’s logo. Astrid’s sought-after art has graced galleries throughout Europe, the USA and the Middle East, so we are very excited to be able to offer these beautiful works to our tribe.”

Sage x Clare

“The raw beauty of the American desert is reflected in our mid-season colour palette, from the burnt hues of its stark landscape to the deep blues and vibrant pinks of its ever-changing sky. It’s earthy with the signature pops of colour that Sage x Clare has become known for,” says Phoebe.

Kip & Co spring range channels maximalist Euro vibe

Proving yet again that it’s not a brand for wallflowers, Kip & Co’s latest collection ‘In Full Bloom’ is inspired by the “delicious maximalism of a colour-drenched, bountiful European spring,” according to the brand. Featuring Kip & Co’s signature eclectic mix of prints, texture and colour, the range draws heavily on the time the designers spent in Italy recently.

Kip & Co In Bloom collection

“This collection is inspired by the Italian spring and beautiful blooms. Melbourne winters sure can get the mind wandering to warmer faraway places. We love the elegance and colour of Italy – it all seems to come so easily to them. We are channelling some of the coastal colour and the muted tones of the bigger cities and throwing it back with big floral splashes,” says Kip & Co’s Hayley Pannekoecke.

The adult bedding range features florals combined with creeping vines, stripes and citrus fruit motifs and the brand’s signature linen and velvet are back in gorgeous spring inspired tones – think lemon meringue, pink bellini, saffron and hazelnut.

Also, it wouldn’t be a properly Italian inspired range without some sort of animal print. “I love everything in our gorgeous new Tarzan velvet as I am an absolute sucker for an animal print. I love the aprons and tea towels in Tarzan also!” says Hayley.

Kip & Co In Bloom collection

New additions to the range include a Euro-chic collection of metallic leather bag goods. “Kate, Alex and I all travel quite a bit and with an equal obsession for anything metallic it seemed essential to design a range that we could take our cosmetics and laptops with us in style,” says Hayley.

There’s also a gorgeous array of holiday-worthy kaftans too. “Kate and I have just spent the past month soaking up the Sicilian summer wearing these babies and they will be a staple for this summer in Australia too. I just throw them over my cossie and head to the beach,” says Hayley.

The kids and baby offering includes cheeky prints inspired by outer space, the ocean and the jungle emblazoned across bedding, blankets, bags, beanbags play mats and bamboo swaddles. The popular banana blanket is back by customer demand also.

Rock the Kasbah with Adairs’ new Moroccan inspired range

An easy source of inspiration, Morocco is a country of design riches – from the beautiful Moorish architecture to the intricate tiling and Yves Saint Laurent’s fabulous Marrakech abode (the cactus garden is beyond), there is just so much creative fodder to draw on. And with the tribal trend still going strong, it’s unsurprising that Adairs has turned to the North African country for its latest range.

Mercer + Reid ‘Medina’ bed linen

Featuring a kaleidoscope of bold pattern accented by earthy textures, tassels and Cacti (a subtle nod to Yves no doubt!), we’re particularly taken with the new range of bed linen.

Home Republic ‘Blush Cacti’ print

The Mercer + Reid ‘Medina’ bed linen collection features an abstract Moorish mosaic pattern in gorgeous shades of dark and light blue accented with on-trend terracotta. We love how the quilt cover is reversible – the flip side features a light blue water colour mosaic pattern.

1782022666-mercer-reid-medina-pillowcase

The Home Republic ‘Marrakech’ bed linen caught our eye also – while the simple monochromatic colour palette is super fresh, it’s the mustard tassels that really take it to the next level. This quilt cover is also reversible – perfect for days when you want to redecorate without having to shop to do so.

Rounding out the new collection is an array of fabulous textured accessories including the Home Republic ‘Sahara’ baskets and the Mercer and Reid ‘Tangier’ pots – the baskets would make nice pots or fabulous storage options.

The Mercer + Reid canvasses are another highlight – featuring silver embellishments such as square silver studs and priced from $149.95, this range of affordable art really rounds out the exotic, bohemian vibe.

We’re also pretty fond of the Home Republic ‘Dakota’ tribal cushions – monochrome and versatile we think they’d work in just about any space.

Kip & Co return with another bold bedding collection

With more than a touch of Ken Done, Kip & Co really do have a uniquely Australian aesthetic. It’s the vivid hues, bold prints and general sunniness of the brand that has garnered them a loyal following – many of whom will be pleased as punch with the brand’s spring/summer 2015 collection titled Summer Storm.

Kip&Co-Day1-371With a complete range of adult, kids and tiny bedding and accessories, this is Kip & Co’s most comprehensive collection to date. Cerulean blues sit alongside peach tones and crisp white and grey. Graphic prints and soft, muted ones ensure diverse tastes are catered for.

Kip&Co-Day1-448The range also sees the addition of some gorgeous abstract themed wall hangings – a new foray for the brand. “These statement pieces are so special. They’re truly made with love and encompass the same Kip & Co vibrancy and colour energy,” says Kip & Co co-founder Hayley Pannekoecke.

Kip&Co-Day2-527

The brand’s home offerings have also expanded to include luxe French linen tableware with napkin sets and tablecloths. A plethora of rugs and beanbags also feature alongside printed Hammam towels and roomy reversible linen bags and robes.

Kip&Co-Day2-240

And for the diehards, Kip & Co’s signature velvet collection can still be found, albeit in updated colours, alongside their bamboo baby swaddles and soft cotton pom pom blankets – a definite highlight.

Offer modern updates for the home, the collection is simple yet sophisticated, with clean lines and graphic texture.

For the first time, they have added 100% linen to their bed linen collection, with soft pink and grey paired with yarn dyed stripes and gingham. Children’s linen also gets an update with fresh florals, gingham checks, star blankets and sweet knitted accessories for the girls and flannel checks in blues, pops of patchwork and a bear motif cushion for the boys.

The decorator range is all about understated luxury with rich textures and muted colours. A palette of pink, nude and black plays off rich marble and timber. Candles, mirrors, votives and frames are highlighted with hints of copper, plated gold and smoked glass. Pared back pieces like a marble clock and side tables in oak and black bring an easy sophistication.

Serving is expanded with the introduction of baking dishes and ramekins. Oversized salt and pepper grinders and stacked wooden boards play on scale and proportion. A circular marble board makes a bold graphic base for the Tapas dining range, updated in blue-grey and lemon yellow tones.

Cushions and throws are textural with bold geometric prints and tactile fabrications. Mohair cushions are perfect for lounging and add a luxe feel to winter simplicity.
